Return & Refund Policy

At BUOY SOFTWARE, LLC, we are committed to delivering exceptional software solutions and services. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be requested for our products and services.

Due to the nature of software development and digital services, all sales are generally considered final. However, we understand that circumstances may arise, and we evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Software Services Refund Policy

Digital Products

All digital products, including software licenses, tools, and downloadable resources, are non-refundable once delivered. This is due to the immediate access and nature of digital goods.

Important: We recommend thoroughly reviewing product descriptions, documentation, and trial versions (if available) before making a purchase.

Exceptions

  • Technical issues preventing product functionality that cannot be resolved within 30 days
  • Duplicate purchases made in error (refund issued for duplicate only)
  • Unauthorized charges or fraudulent transactions

Subscription Services

For subscription-based services, the following terms apply:

  • Monthly Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. No refunds will be provided for partial months.
  • Annual Subscriptions: Cancellations within the first 30 days may be eligible for a prorated refund. After 30 days, no refunds will be issued.
  • Free Trials: If you cancel during a free trial period, you will not be charged.

Custom Development Projects

Custom software development projects are governed by individual contracts and statements of work. Refund terms for custom projects include:

  • Deposits and initial payments are non-refundable once work has commenced
  • Milestone payments are non-refundable upon completion and acceptance of deliverables
  • Project cancellations will be billed for work completed up to the cancellation date
  • Any unused retainer fees may be refunded at our discretion

Cancellation Terms

To request a cancellation or refund, please contact us at grosbard@buoysoftware.org with the following information:

  • Order number or invoice reference
  • Detailed explanation of the reason for cancellation
  • Any supporting documentation or evidence

Refund requests will be reviewed within 5-7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10-14 business days.
